DALLAS –BASED DESIGNER SHOWCASING HER 2016 COUTURE COLLECTION AT THE MAJOR FASHION EVENT IN SOUTH INDIA

After a scintillating collaboration with fashion designers from the western Indian state of Gujarat this Summer, at the Glorious Gujarat 2015 event in New Jersey, Dallas-based designer Ruby Bhandari brings her 2016 Couture Collection to the very-hip,Fashion Premier Week (FPW) in Chennai, India.
The Fashion Premier Week, which kicks off on December 9th with Ruby’s collection, will feature more than 49 of India’s top models walking the ramp for eight top designers. The Brand Ambassador for the show is the Bollywood star, Neil Nitin Mukesh, who is also the first Indian actor on the popular Game of Thrones.

“Indian designs have provided inspiration for world’s biggest designers and Fashion Premier Week epitomizes the youthful heartbeat and traditional culture that makes this country so vibrant,” said Ruby Bhandari, Chief Designer of Silk Threads. “We have established a strong presence in North America – both for our ethnic and contemporary lines - showing on the same runways as national and international legends like Tom Ford and JJ Vallaya. On my first trip to Chennai, I’m excited to collaborate with Fashion Premier Week for the showing of established and emerging designers from India.”

Silk Threads will be presenting their 2016 line of Couture dresses – in an exquisite range of quality fabrics, colors and intrinsic artistic designs. The dresses are designed in Dallas, Texas, but are manufactured in Silk Threads owned (and partnered) eco-friendly factories in India – providing the perfect juxtaposition of the mystic east and the contemporary west.
The Showstopper for Ruby Bhandari’s show on December 9th at 9 pm will be the gorgeous Bollywood singer, Kanika Kapoor.

FPW will be held at the Crowne Plaza in Chennai from December 9th through 11th. For more information about Fashion Premier Week and to buy tickets, please visit www.FashionpremierWeek.com
