MBA in HR or EMBA in HR?

People often think that an executive MBA or EMBA is better than MBA and even mostly favoured by employers. Nothing could be far from the truth. Actually, the two programs, though have the core curriculum same, are different as they target different needs. A full-time MBA is pursued only by full-time students only. Whereas the EMBA program is basically designed for working professionals only and many colleges have a parameter of work experience of the students set. Say, for example, a minimum of four to five years of work experience is required by some colleges like IIM to be eligible for the EMBA program.
Whereas a full-time MBA is basically for full-time students alone and requires on-campus study. It also requires attending workshops or industry visits, internships. Obviously, this will not suit working professionals unless they give a break to their work-career and plan to devote their entire time and energy to study alone.
EMBA programs are more intense, and available again in various modes – like in-class (conducted over weekends or evenings or both) or on-line learning. The students engage themselves in more intense and rather shorter and combined class-work. Besides, EMBA offers less elective options.

Besides, not all colleges offer EMBA programs, But many do, and that includes the well known and best business schools throughout India. Executive MBA in Hyderabad, Bangalore, Pune, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Indore, New Delhi are quite famous. Some of the schools offering the program include IIM Ahmedabad, Indore, SIBM Hyderabad, Pune, IMI Delhi.
