Capgemini and one of Romania's leading retail chain suppliers, Carrefour, launched a fruitful and creative partnership. Implementing a cloud-based integration platform is required to give Carrefour Romania a safe setting for the delivery of integration services and the monitoring of API[1] traffic. After Carrefour chose Capgemini in Romania as its ideal partner for this transformation journey, the successful collaboration got underway in December 2021. Carrefour Romania wanted to make its backend services, such as product pricing and availability information, sales and ordering services, or order tracking, available online so they could be covered by apps running on mobile devices and desktops with the ultimate goal of improving the customer experience in-store and online. Modern technology and API management tools are used in the solution. The project continues after implementation with API development, maintenance, and support. The APIs required for Carrefour to expose its systems to affiliates are being developed by a group of skilled engineers and cloud architects at Capgemini in Romania. The top retailer required a user-friendly platform for managing API interfaces between all of its systems, eliminating point-to-point connections, and enabling API performance monitoring. Additionally, the new platform supports functions like analytics and operations automation, administration of API developers, adaptability, and governance over data transmitted between users and systems. A three-year contract includes a project to assist Carrefour in deploying its preferred solution and to further develop, manage, and support its APIs.
