Polyhydroxybutyrate (PHB) is a biopolymer produced from microorganisms. It is a kind of polyhydroxyalkanoate (PHA) and is produced via fermentation process. They are thermoplastic polymer with properties very similar to petroleum based polypropylene (PP).
