JAPANESE STUDENTS EXPERIENCE THE INDIAN CULTURE AT DHOL PATHAK

On the Occasion of Ganpati, the team at Fidel took some students from Japan for Dhol Pathak for them to experience the Indian culture. Please find below a few details about the same.

Few Japanese students were taken by the Fidel Team to experience the Dhol Pathak at Sinhagad Road, Pune on 29th August. These students experienced the Indian culture for the first time and were very excited to be a part of this festive celebration. “I am extremely happy to be a part of this celebration. The Indian culture is truly fascinating and I am looking forward to visiting India again next year, on the occasion of Ganpati,” said one of the students. The Fidel team also told them how Ganpati is celebrated, and how dhol Pathak is known as a Paramprik Instrument and is being played since the time of Shivaji Maharaj.

• Where exactly in Japan are the students from?
From Chiba, Shiga and Kanagawa Prefecture. Chiba and Kanagawa prefectures are near Tokyo. Shiga prefecture is 450 KM from Tokyo.

• How are they associated with Fidel?
All Japanese students are here for an internship through their respective. They are here to understand India as a country and Indian culture. Fidel being a Japanese service provider, they are taking the help of Fidel to understand about India. Fidel offers this kind of internship to Japanese students in India. • Food is quite spicy but they like eating delicious Indian goods like chicken biryani, butter chicken and they especially liked Jalebi.
• The atmosphere is quite like Japan but India is livelier than Japan.
