Sharp Fluidics Makes Surgery Safer

Sharp Fluidics is the creator of the Operative Armour needle management system for surgeons.

Hayward, California: Sharp Fluidics is pleased to announce they are making surgery safer with their sharps products that eliminate the need to pass needles back and forth during surgery. The products offered safely and conveniently store new needles and feature a disposal case for used needles for fast, easy disposal without missing a beat during surgery.

Without the Operative Armour needle management system created by Sharp Fluidics, nurses would pass needles to the surgeon for sutures at the end of the procedure. These needles would then need to be passed back to the nurse after use. This increases the risk of dropping needles, as well as being stuck by a new or used needle. Operative Armour eliminates much of this risk, conveniently and safely storing needles in an armband on the surgeon’s wrist. Surgeons extract a new needle, use it and place it in the receptacle for used needles.

In addition to eliminating the risk of accidental sticks and drops, the Operative Armour needle management system also makes it easier to count needles at the end of the procedure to ensure none are left inside the patient.

Anyone interested in learning about the Operative Armour product and how it makes surgery safer can find out more by visiting the Sharp Fluidics website or by calling 1-866-376-4686.
