Local Delaware Middle School Athlete, Jared Wagenhoffer, exceeded expectations at Football University, which is an invitation only football camp that was held last weekend at the Episcopal Academy in Newtown, Pennsylvania. Football University is a regional camp that hosts the best collection of high school and middle school football talent assembled. While at FBU, Jared specialized in training as a quarterback and was quickly by identified by FBU staff and NCSA scouts as an exceptional athlete among his peers. Jared’s football ability, natural talent and leadership earned him an invitation to attend the 2014 Football University “Top Gun” Showcase. “Top Gun” is not a regular camp. It is reserved only for the best of the best to showcase their talent on a national stage. To be eligible, an athlete must be chosen from among the top 15% of athletes at a regional camp and be specifically invited to “Top Gun.” Jared will be one of only 750 middle school athletes selected to be nationally showcased.

Jared Wagenhoffer, who currently resides in Smyrna, Delaware, has played football and lacrosse in the Camden – Dover area since he was eight and will continue his student-athlete endeavors as he enters ninth grade this fall at Polytech High School.
