Hurricane Sandy Closes Physical Therapy Office in Staten Island

New York Medical Services closes Staten Island office due to damages from Hurricane Sandy. Urges New Yorkers to file for FEMA assistance.

 
New York City, NY - New York Medical Services is sad to announce the temporary closing of their Staten Island location on Midland Beach. They will work hard to reopen the office to serve the community as soon as possible. “Our hearts pour out to the people of Staten Island and we pray for a speedy recovery”, says Kenneth Toby President of New York Medical Services.

On October 29th, 2012 Hurricane Sandy ripped through the east coast. It has been estimated that Hurricane Sandy will cost $50 Billion in damages. To date 110 deaths have been reported due to the Super Storm. The people of Staten Island are still without water and power. No one knows when order will be restored. “We cannot stress how important it is to contact FEMA as soon as possible to find out what assistance financial, and otherwise is available to you”, insists Kenneth Toby.

FEMA disaster relief is available for all people affected by Hurricane Sandy. They are available for homeowners, business owners, and apartment renters. There are also links available SBA loans which will be low interest.

Anyone needing assistance can contact FEMA at 800-621-3362. The process will take about 30 minutes to complete. You can also go online to www.disasterassistance.gov and complete your application online. They will ask for social security numbers for all members of the household. If you don’t have all social security numbers at the time, you can go back and add them later. So start your application as soon as possible.
