Rubber sheets have a wide range of functions and are used by many industries. So it is important to understand the benefits of each type of rubber sheet.

Rubber sheets are used in different industries and especially in the ones which work with electrical equipment. The ease which the rubber raw material provides is hardly found in any other material. The flexibility of the rubber allows it to cut and mould easily. This makes it ideal to seal and protect various equipment and applications.

In industries like health care and medicine, rubber sheet is used as medical insulators and apparatus. Therefore, before you use the rubber sheets in any applications, you need to know the types of rubber sheets for a better understanding.

Natural Rubber Sheets

Natural rubber sheets are made from latex which is non-toxic and sourced from Para rubber tree. Mostly, the natural insertion rubber is an eco-friendly option and demonstrates excellent dynamic, mechanical and rebound properties. It is commonly used in chute linings, shot blasts and conveyor belts among others.

EPDM Rubber Sheets

These are resistant options as their inherent qualities include resistance to acids, alkalis and ketones. EPDM rubber sheets also have supreme weather-resistant features. This makes them ideal for high ozone and outdoor applications. You mostly find them in rubber roofing.

Neoprene Rubber Sheets

This type is known for their insulating properties, and as it is fire resistant, they have suitable applications in oil, chemical, gas and dye industries.

Silicone Rubber Sheets

The silicone rubber sheets are used in pharmaceutical industry and act as good insulators against high temperatures. These low permeable rubber sheets are also chemical, ozone and weather-ageing resistant. These properties help them to remain unaffected when exposed to medical environments.

Nitrile Rubber Sheets

A common sight in an electrical transformer, nitrile rubber sheets are mostly used in the food and sealing industries. Their high tensile strength is resistant to grease, oil, fuels and many types of acids. They are also a popular material in the production of oil handling hoses, floor mats and cable jackets.

Other than the industrial uses, rubber sheets are also prevalent in commercial and domestic applications, and that is why they are known to be flexible.
