China´s (aka. People´s Republic of China) capital city is Beijing and has the world´s greatest population with over 1.3 billion people, the 2nd largest economy (based on nominal GDP) in the world and is the 3rd largest country in total area. The landscape of China is very diverse. From forests, to deserts such as the Gobi desert, to subtropical forests in the South east, to the mountains such as Himalaya and Karakoram Mountains.

China is a country under constant development working hard on the path toward a market economy and a well educated society and work force. An important step in the right direction is the hard work and ample investment that is being put into placing Chinese universities on the list of top class educators on the international playing field.
