Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology has established the cooperation of academic research and intellectual fostering with many with nearly 30 foreign well-known universities and research institutes. Supported by the scholarships of national government, Hanban and Jiangsu Provincial government, the university has been qualified to enroll foreign students from all over the world.

The university has therefore become an important base for WMO to train senior meteorologists and administrators for developing countries. The University also has established a Confucius College based on The College of The Bahamas to promote Chinese language and culture, which is the fourth Confucius College established the university in Jiangsu.

Now there are over 500 international students from about 20 countries, including 300 long-term students and approximately 200 short-term students. Among them, there were 100 Degree-Seeking students, including those seeking undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral degree.
