The Gardner Police Chief Jim Pruetting speaks about the Firehouse Subs grant of $25,402.23 to purchase seven new Motorola 900 MHz portable patrol radios.

Gardner Police Chief, Jim Pruetting investigated the Gardner-Edgerton High School burglary and vandalism case. It is still an active investigation as there wasn’t much information about the vandalism.

Jim Pruetting began work in Gardner in Feb, 2015. One of the decisions made by Gardner police deptt since that time was to make an area crime map available to the public. This led to more informed Gardner residents on crime occurring in community.

Gardner Police Chief, Jim Pruetting provided information regarding the first-degree murder case of a two-year-old Gardner resident. Authorities have made an arrest and the offender is currently being held at the Johnson County Jail.
