How much depth is there to QA? I have used it in a very basic sense which is all the “obvious” features where using calculated fields is the most complicated.

I always wanted to be a QA professional and I know very well that there are many options in this expertise. Few of my friends think that it is of no use, but I will surely share this article with them, and then only they will know what are the opportunities after having QA certification.
Is there any other specialization required after learning QA? And especially I would like to know how will this certification help me to begin a good career in analytics?

Hello everyone, I am currently working in a captive BPO in the Retirement Insurance (US process) sector from the last 9 years. But now I want to make the switch into the Business Analytics sector.
Where should I start from also keeping in mind the professional and personal choice in mind?
What will be the starting salary for a Business Analyst in this field?

Myself Harsh! I wanted to ask one thing about QA certification.
How is QA certification going to help me? And from where should I start up with this career and especially the course?
How much depth is there to QA? I have used it in a very basic sense which is all the “obvious” features where using calculated fields is the most complicated. I am wondering what the limits are and how deep a user can actually go with the tools offered (which I probably am not aware of?) Hope my question makes sense.

QA has a richer history of customization and therefore more to learn because it has gone further. So my experience has been that learning QA well goes most of the way to learning Power BI too.
I find QA is one of the best tools for data exploration, clean and easy to do many things. Power BI is a little bit better for dashboards, makes macros (data cleaning) more accessible and audit-able, but its formula ui and autocomplete leaves much to be desired.

QA is really good if you need to do data exploration and/or are doing something that the QA devs had in mind. The last 5-10% of cleaning everything up can feel like pulling teeth, but the tradeoff is it is really seamless to iterate your dashboards.

QA / Power BI development isn't an IT job. It's a business job you can perform better with some understanding of databases/logic. How technically proficient you are is irrelevant if what you produce has little business value.
