The global e-commerce giant Amazon had been meaning to start their own domain in the Middle-East from the past 2 years. Today Souq and Amazon declared that the long-held acquisition between the 2 sites is finally complete as Amazon launches a fresh shopping portal for the customers in the UAE Amazon.ae which will allow the people to shop from more than 30 million products. The given choices will also consist of items that were listed on Souq before. Shoppers can shop from the new portal either from Amazon.ae website or from the Amazon app with a fluent browsing experience, precise results, and simpler management.

Souq had been actively selling in the region since 2005 until Amazon bought the local commerce site in the year 2017 for $580 million. As per the earlier integration customers were allowed to log in to Souq.com by using Amazon credentials.

Customers can look up to a further localized shopping experience through the new site with the Arabic language added plus they can continue to carry out transactions in the regional currency through major credit cards. The shipping and delivery policy applies the same as customers can still enjoy free delivery on orders above AED 100.

All the local and international businesses who were selling on Souq.com will now sell on Amazon.ae. They will be benefited with ease in getting themselves recognized, safer payment procedures along with simple logistics solutions with Fulfillment by Amazon.
