The Wine Promotion in Foreign Markets is Essential for it to Remain a Leader

A total of forty wineries in our region have participated in the trade fair in Dusseldorf

 
Spain, 29 Mar 2013 - The Minister of Employment and the Economy of the regional government, Carmen Home, said that in order for the wine to remain leader of exports in Castilla-La Mancha, is "essential that we continue to take actions such as promotional developed in Dusseldorf. "

Castilla-La Mancha has successfully participated in ProWein 2013, which has been developed in this German city between 24 and 26 March through the Trade Promotion Institute, under the Directorate General of Economic Strategy and European Affairs and has enjoyed the cooperation of the Ministry of Agriculture.

In this show, the largest in the sector across Europe, participated on a pooled a total of twenty companies in our region, that have gathered in the Spanish flag, to reinforce the brand "Spain" among European wines.

Besides this group, the fair has attended 17 other wineries Castilian-La Mancha that already have their importers-distributors in the German market and to which they are supported trade with its own stand at the booth or the importer.

Home Prowein recalled that, which also featured wines representing the PDO Valdepeñas and Manchuela, has "the world's leading producers and a number of visits over 40,000 professionals."

In this regard, he assured that "it is essential that the Government encourages such Cospedal promotional initiatives in trade fairs in the world, to make known the quality of our wines."

The Minister of Employment and Economy also recalled that "in 2012 Castilla-La Mancha exported to Germany more than 105 million euros in turnover of wines, representing an increase of 34.61 percent over the previous year."

Germany accounts for our region holds the second largest market in wine exports, second only to France.
