If you are a special patients such as pregnant women or breastfeeding women, then you should use Lyrica and any medicine after consulting with your doctor because it can have serious negative consequences for your health if you don’t follow this advice. Take all the precautionary measures to ensure safe use of drugs. Here are some of the important information of Lyrica that you should be aware of before using Lyrica during pregnancy or breastfeeding period.

Additionally, it can also create complications during pregnancy. Lyrica is not only dangerous for pregnant women, but it is not good for breast feeding women too. You should not discontinue Lyrica suddenly without talking to your doctor about it.

Due to the harmful effects of Lyrica for pregnant and breastfeeding women, most doctors recommend to avoid the use of this drug during pregnancy, but if there is no other choice and you need to use Lyrica then they will recommend the minimum possible dose so that it does not cause problems during pregnancy, damage the fetus or wreck havoc on the human milk production.

Go for regular check up so that your doctor can access your condition and give a better recommendation whether to continue the same dose, change the dose or stop taking the dose altogether. Constant supervision of a medical practitioner is very important in protecting you from damaging your and your baby health during pregnancy. Never take an overdose as it might expose you to severe side effects and may put your’s and your baby life at risk.
