When it comes to marketing, there are two main types: digital marketing and traditional marketing.
But what’s the difference is?
Any type of marketing that utilizes digital platforms like the internet, email, or mobile devices is referred to as digital marketing. Due to the spread of digital gadgets and the expansion of internet networking, it has gained popularity recently. On the other hand, traditional marketing describes any type of offline promotion, including print ads, television or radio commercials, and direct mail. It’s still a popular method of marketing, especially for larger businesses with more resources.
Only the channel via which a target audience is exposed to a marketing message is the key distinction between digital and traditional marketing.
The word ‘traditional’ in traditional marketing doesn't imply it's outdated. With the increasing necessity for people to the digital world, traditional marketing also plays important role in people's lives.
