Utkarsh India MS pipes are Leak Proof, Each and Every pipe is hydrostatically tested at a test pressure of 5 MPa (51 kgf/cm2) equivalent to 50 bar to ensure the leak proofness of each individual tubes.

The demand for MS pipes is majorly attributed to irrigation, sewage, gas and liquid transportation segments. Be it Industrial or Domestic use, MS pipes are ideal for both the applications. In India, the pipe industry holds an enormous growth potential which is still untouched by many till date. Apart from the government’s initiatives, the rise in demand from real estate and oil & gas sector is playing a key role in the growth chart for the MS Pipes manufacturers. One of the major drivers for the growth has been the Indian government’s focus on agriculture and irrigation sector.

MS Pipes Manufacturers are now realizing the future prospects and the industry has witnessed increasing growth year on year. There is a huge diffrence in the reason and application of plastic pipes and steel pipes. Plastic pipes are generally used as fire sprinklers, water pipes, drainage set-ups, and irrigation systems. Steel pipes are used mainly for long distance transportation purposes especially in the case of oil and gas.
There are mainly three popular varieties pipes available in market- concrete, plastic, and steel. Amongst the three, steel pipes and plastic pipes are more sought after in the domestic as well as global market.

MS Pipe and MS Tube refer to Mild Steel Pipe or Mild Steel Tubes. MS pipes are manufactured using low carbon (less than 0.25%) steel. Due to low carbon content the pipes do not harden and are easy to use. As MS Pipes are made from mild steel they can easily be welded and formed in various shapes and sizes for pipelining and tubing purposes. These are generally used for drinking water supply i.e. Plumbing, Firefighting, HVAC but can also be used in various other Industrial and Engineering applications. These pipes are usually coated with other metals/paints/varnish etc to prevent it from rusting but extra care should be taken to prevent it under extreme conditions.

Utkarsh India manufactures MS Pipes which has the following advantages:

Cost-effective is due to carbon content present in it ranging somewhere between .16% to .29%. due to its affordability, it is used in many everyday objects.

MS Steel can be easily coalesced, unlike high carbon steel. Its specific properties in metal make the current travel without distorting the ‘make-up’ of the material.

Ductile, as it is a form of measure of deformation by elongation without fracture. Some materials go upto 15% before being permanently deformed hence cannot go back to its original form.

One of the disadvantages of MS Steel is that it has low tensile strength, which will make it break more easily in comparison to other steel under tension.
