Learning at Jumac is the New Normal- Training sessions resume

Jumac has taken new strategies by which a business can stay stable, retain existing customers and gain profitable leads too.

 
The current times call for practicing safety measures, the New Normal, no matter whether we
are at work or busy with daily house chores. As the lockdown has been eased, work has
resumed at Jumac maintaining all the safety guidelines. Along with that, Jumac has taken
new strategies to prosper in the spinning can manufacturing industry, even amidst all
adversities associated with our economy. Although the current situation is filled with
obstacles, there are several winning strategies by which a business can stay stable, retain
existing customers and gain profitable leads too.
One of the ways is definitely to culture the existing resources for betterment. It is the best
time to research new ways to stay afloat in the market. With training and development,
employees must be engaged in activities. It has been observed that in the face of adversities
positive thoughts and motivation keep the energy high; hence, productivity increases. So,
learning or being trained at Jumac has become the New Normal since the work has resumed.
The in-house training session at Jumac was divided into two segments with specific
objectives. The employees were asked to prepare a presentation of self-assessment first and
the second part is a workshop session of knowledge sharing, involving fun games to keep
their spirit high. The training session took place on 18th July 2020 at the Jumac factory. All
staff and employees were invited to this session conducted by Arindam Chatterjee on behalf
of the company. The central agenda of the session revolved around one topic, sales and
marketing of spinning cans. The focus remained on learning strategies to achieve targets, the
right sales approach and more. A workshop had been arranged with simulation games to
bring out the fun involved in this entire process. Undoubtedly, the certificate on completion
was encouraging at the end of this session.
To understand the process in detail, employee activities must be described at first. Everyone
was asked to prepare a presentation on current achievements as compared to the given targets
and to mention anyone specific detail related to challenging or learning moments at work. As
the economy is going through a change, adapting ability is going to be the biggest quality of
each and every employee. To evaluate that fun games had been conducted to check listening
and comprehension ability. The trust, communication and listening ability was judged
through the second round game of Minefield, where two participants would make a team and
one had to guide his blindfolded partner towards the finishing line dodging white sheets
marked danger. While competitive ability was tasted through a balloon race, the listening
skill was assessed with a game involving clapping whenever someone had to say an odd
number.
No situation could be better for employees to run a self-assessment yet in a fun way. The
opportunity of debriefing after every session or game round is a good way to keep a track of
performance and identify areas of improvement. It is a highly strategic initiative, taken up by
Jumac with the aim of achieving long term growth. Hence, training sessions at Jumac could
be considered as New Normal yet one of the most effective techniques to keep the employees
motivated. It helps identify the areas of improvement, overcome obstacles, learn the right
approach and open multiple avenues of growth creating a win-win situation for both
themselves and the company.
