Dhwani pays tribute to the finest Bollywood actors of all times with soulful melodies: In memory of Irfan Khan and Rishi Kapoor

Dhwani through its musical lockdown weekend series paid a special tribute to the veteran actors Rishi Kapoor and Irfaan Khan by singing their soulful melodies.

 
The entire nation went flabbergasted on 29 th April 2020 when the veteran actor Irfaan Khaan took his last breath at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital and Medical Research Institute leaving the entertainment industry in a state of shock. After a long struggle with his Neuro endocrine tumor, the actor renowned internationally for his challenging roles left the world at the age of 53 years. Not only in movies, but the actor has entertained audiences since 90’s on the small screen through satellite television serials like Kahkashan, Chandrakanta, Jai hanuman and Banegi Apni Baat (1993) aired on Zee TV that was a buzz in early 90’s. The Padma Shree awarded actor has also made a significant contribution in Hollywood through movies like Jurassic World, New York, I Love You, A Mighty Heart etc.
The nation already in a shock with the sad demise of Irfan Khan got dumbfound the next day, when another veteran actor Rishi Kapoor died at an age of 67. The actor, producer, director from the Kapoor acting dynasty left the world after battling from bone marrow cancer detected in 2018. After a strong struggle of 2 years from such incurable ailment, he died at Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital in Mumbai on 30 th April 2020. In his Bollywood career, the actor was first spotted on screen in the movie Shree 420 as a child actor in the song “pyar hua iqraar hua” and ended his career with movies like Jhoota kahin ka and The Body. He created a buzz with his on-stage performance in the song “meri umar ke naujawano” in the movie “Karz” which was a smashing hit and created history. The actor was considered as the first chocolaty boy in the film industry and his contribution to Hindi cinema will have an everlasting impact on upcoming generations.

singers’ Sarita, Srriram and Navin sung the beautiful melody “Bezubaan” from the movie Piku. The magical lyrics “Goonje hai aaj aasman hum ban gaye bezuban” expressed their emotion in a novel way. The song ended with a message “You will live in our hearts forever”. Dhwani singers also appraised the heartthrob of Bollywood “Rishi Kapoor” and sung his melodious songs in their musical lockdown weekend series.
Where Srirram and Navin sang melodies like Chehra Hai ya Chand Khila Hai” and “Mai Shayar to Nahi”; Sarita with her melodious voice was vocal with the song “Tu Tu hai Wahi”. The song “Ek Mai Aur Ek Tu” from the movie “Khel Khel Mein” was sung by both Srirram and Sarita that recalled the on-screen romance of Nitu and Rishi Kapoor. Dhwani, the live band verbalized their grief and stated “No one can replace these two talented and versatile actors of the industry. We don’t know what 2020 has in store, but this is a huge loss for the Bollywood. From serious roles to action and laughter, they have proved their caliber to get into every character played on screen. They will always be remembered. RIP.”
