MyCityLinks Becomes Odisha’s First Weekend Newspaper

My City Links, the premiere English fortnightly newspaper has now gone weekly, publishing on the weekends. This weekend newspaper features all the latest news, events, stories and buzz across Odisha and India.

The inaugural issue of this weekend newspaper was inaugurated by Honorable Chief Minister of the state Shri Naveen Patnaik on 5th July 2018, who furthermore also inaugurated the My City Awards - a first-of-its-kind city-centric award ventured by My City Links in order to recognize the achievers who have set new standards and given back to the city of Bhubaneswar.

Following the inauguration, there were several eminent personalities present in the star-studded evening celebrations at Mayfair Convention. Dr. Prasanna Patasani (M.P Bhubaneswar), Priyadarshi Mishra (M.L.A North Bhubaneswar), Veteran Odissi Dancer Smt. Aruna Mohanty, Theatre artist Ananta Mohapatra, Secretary of Sports and Youth Services Vishal Dev as well as the Chairman of Odisha Film Development Corporation, Satyabrata Kuna Tripathy and many more graced the evening and awarded several pioneers with the My City Awards.

Amongst the award recipients were the founder of Falcon Marine Exports, Mr. Tararanjan Patnaik, Chairman of Lalchand Group, Mr. Sunjoy Hans, Mr. Devjyoti Patnaik, Director, Jyoti Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd., Entrepreneur Dr. Bijoy Kumar Sahoo and eminent dancer Masaka Ono - were honoured as the icons. On the other hand, Binodini Patnaik (nursing), Rajendra Nayak (deaf and dumb salesperson), Pradeep Prusty (social service), Meghna Sahoo (India’s first transgender to Ola Cab driver), Tara Das (Arisa pitha maker and entrepreneur) and Bakul Foundation (volunteerism) bagged the award in the changemaker bracket. Applications like Yi-Bhubaneswar chapter, Food Findo, and Bhubaneswar Komedians were awarded for being the trendsetters.

My City Links in one of the most looked upon publication in bringing out the pulse of the urban life in Odisha, highlighting the positive events, the moving and motivational stories of the people of Odisha, recognizing and honouring the real-life heroes and achievers, representing the cultural and social events on the bigger picture.
