In the early times it was thought that permanent teeth that grows when our other younger teeth falls is meant to last for a lifetime. However nowadays that might not be the scene as so many of us get our tooth extracted at a far younger age.

The common reason behind it is that our tooth has become badly damaged or has decayed due to bad brushing habits. Sometimes dentist perform Tooth Extraction in order to prepare for orthodontia. Orthodontia is a process which aligns the teeth in your mouth and some teeth are big to fit in your mouth so this process comes into picture. To perform this process, the dentist may have to pull the tooth if it doesn't break naturally.

Also another reason why people extract their teeth is because of infection. If your tooth decays or damages then high chances are there that the dentist may have to pull it out in order to stop the spreading of bacteria to the other tooth. Tooth decay damages the pulp or blood vessels and can cause the bacteria to enter your mouth which may lead to infection. Often the root canal therapy is done if the infection is very severe that in some cases the antibiotics may also not prevent spreading the infection.

One more reason why anyone would go for Tooth Extraction is the risk of it getting infected. If your immune system is not very strong than there are chances where the infection in your one teeth can spread to the rest of the mouth and cause bleeding from your gums.In such a situation the best resort is to get the infected teeth extracted as earliest as possible.

If there is an infection of the tissue then the bones surrounding may also get infected very soon. This may lead to loosening of the teeth and it may pull the teeth out.

There are a number of dentist who have the special training to perform the teeth extraction process. Therefore before pulling out the teeth, the dentist will have to give an injection to numb the area. If you are getting more than one tooth pulled then the dentist may have to use a stronger anaesthetic/ general anaesthetic, which will numb the whole mouth. This will make sure that you don’t feel any pain during the process however you will sleep for most part of the procedure and will wake up only at the end. Therefore you may not feel any pain at all. In case the tooth is impacted with any such disease, then the dentist will clear the gum and also the bone tissues that cover it. Then he will use forceps to grab the tooth and will rock it, with little pressure to and forth in order to loose it the jaw done and ligament that holds it in place. If you have a hard tooth then the dentist may have to break it in pieces. One should understand all the implications before going for the procedure.
