Sam Dason DDS and the Aspect of Emotion

Posted November 10, 2016 by samdasondds

Sam Dason DDS speaks on emotion and connection, and how he builds more meaningful relationships with his patients.

Sam Dason DDS has had experience in multiple fields that have required him to be able to connect with people, as well as sympathize with them. This takes a special kind of person, as not only does the person need to be able to show support for the person and their feelings or needs, but also handle them in a sensitive and tactful way. Dason has worked in the army, in the dentist profession, as well as an evangelist. In these roles, he has had to learn how to connect with people on a personal level, to better help.

When working as an evangelist, he helped people with a variety of problems. He helped provide spiritual support and guidance, as well as emotional connection. During these events, he often made visits to the people he was seeing, and performed in home. Connecting with a person spiritually and professionally is no easy task, and Dason of all people is quite aware of this. In order to truly perform this role, a person has to be willing to go out of comfort zones, yet also respect those of whom they are treating.

Working as a dentist requires some of the same skills as working as an evangelist. While the two roles may seem very different, both require emotional support from the provider of the service. Evangelism requires a person to be completely comfortable with the provider, and the same holds true for dentistry. Performing operations in the mouth can be terrifying for many, so a good dentist is able to calm any fears the patient may have, and provide a calm atmosphere. The two are more similar than many may think.

Whether it be dentistry, or religious support, Sam Dason DDS has experienced the needs of many first hand. He has provided support to many in his years of service, and will continue to do so in the future. Many professions may seem quite different at first glance, and there are probably many differences to see, but the emotional requirements are often much more similar than people think. This has proven true time and again.
