Blizzard CEO, Mike Morhaime, has confirmed that Heroes of the Storm will have official professional level competition near its launch. Blizzard confirms pro-level competition will come to Heroes of the Storm

In an email to the Score, Mike Morhaime, Blizzard CEO and co-founder, confirmed the company's intentions to take Heroes of the Storm into the professional eSports circuit.

“Our ultimate goal is to establish a pro structure for Heroes competition, but with the game in closed beta, it’s still too early to discuss what form that might ultimately take. That said, we do have plans for kicking off pro-level competition around the game’s launch, and we’re looking forward to talking more about that soon,” Morhaime confirmed.

When the pro-level competition launch in game?

As we all know, Heroes of the Storm open bets is set on May 20 to begin and it launches on June 2. Based on Blizzard’s statement, the pro-level model will be available in game shortly.

Currently, would-be HotS competitors have to wait for further details about the program, but “Heroes of the Dorm” and other events are avaiavle to play now.
