We are the largest organized humanitarian and social group in Pakistan. For the period we have been on duty, we have witnessed successes and challenges in varying degrees. However, one thing remains clear: we have never shifted our focus from our goal of providing affected families and individuals with hope and relief.

Our work revolves around helping victims of war, disasters, and other natural calamities that are a threat to human life, here in Pakistan. To achieve our goals, we work around the clock to ensure that we assist our subjects regardless of color, race, or language. Our aim is to extend help and assistance to the needy where and when it is needed. For instance, where there are victims of war, we provide ambulances to take the affected individuals to various health facilities. In famine-stricken areas, we work in partnership with other humanitarian organizations to donate relief food to the affected families.

This work is not without challenges, especially in financial aspect. That is why we appeal to assistance in terms of zakat, to be able to meet our goals. Our ambulances, which we use in emergencies, need fuel and maintenance in order to continue working efficiently. When we have to put shelter for flood or earthquake victims, we need resources to help make this possible.

However, amidst all the challenges, we have been able to achieve most of our goals such as provision of shelter to refugees such as the shelter home in Jalalabad and we have an ambulance center in Kabul. With assistance and partnership with like-minded individuals and organizations, we hope to continue performing this noble duty.

Edhi Foundation is the largest and most organized social welfare system in Pakistan. It provides relief and assistance in emergencies such as war, earthquake, and other natural calamities that threaten lives of people in Pakistan and surrounding areas.
