Skycandle.in separately interacted with the delegation at its Headquarter located in Nehru place. They talked about diverse aspects of Science, Engineering, Economics, Social, and Policy issues of government and their implementations.
The discussion also covered how cities can prepare themselves for climate change and natural hazards, in order to preserve the environment. The Co-Founders of Sky Candle-Gaurav Garg, Aditee Joshi and Vivek Agarwal, Chairman of GPA Group responded brilliantly to the students for all their queries.
Speaking on the occasion, the current Co- Founder and CEO, Aditee Joshi emphasized about the role of women in the Indian Start-up environment. As she said, Skycandle.in is a group of ‘Young Brigades’ of 23-25 of age groups and its staff comprises 50% of women employees, a huge slice of women ratio for any Indian Start-up.
In their meeting at the Ministry, they interacted with an IAS officer, representing the Govt. authorities, who clarified policies that encourage Indian start up sector. Further, he spoke about the government’s initiative to extend the benefits of ‘Funds of Funds’ scheme to start ups in India. As part of the discussion, the Co-founder Gaurav Garg also revealed plans to expand Skycandle.in into countries such as Canada and the USA.
The interaction continued till noon followed by a brunch organized by Skycandle.in. The students were also given a tour of the office of the GPA Group, which is a major investor in Skycandle.in. The day ended with the exchange of Skycandle.in goodies and gifts as a token of remembrance given to the Northeastern University students.
