Diaphragms within the pulse valves require regular replacement, usually every few years depending on the application. The spare diaphragms by Manik are made up of materials like special imported polyester, neoprene and vitron (for high temperature use). Working of Spare Diaphragms
The electromagnetic pulse valve for dust collection system is composed of electromagnetic pilot operator, diaphragm and valve body. Due to the continuous flow of dust through the valve, the pressure difference is created. This pressure difference acts on two sides of the spare diaphragm, because of that the diaphragm is pressed closely against the outlet of valve. This will keep the valve in “closed” position.
The sequential controller used in the valve sends electric signal to the electromagnetic armature. Because of which the armature will move and open the discharge opening of back cavity. It will compress the air in the back cavity due to that the back cavity bursts out to relief pressure and pressurized air in front cavity pushes up the diaphragm to open the outlet valve, after that the pulse valve gets open and starts to blow.
When the signal from the controller disappears and the spring works immediately to send the pilot operator back to its original position and close the discharging opening. The spare diaphragm will close the passage by the effect of the pressure in the front cavity and the spring. Then the electromagnetic pulse valve stops blowing.
When the aperture/cavity in the diaphragm becomes misty due to the dust the armature will be lifting up for releasing the pressure. The front cavity is filled with the pressure gas as soon as the discharge hole gets closed and the passage is closed by the diaphragm. The dust collector valve stops blowing.
