BHASKARACHARYA PRATISHTHANA - An Educational & Research Institute in Mathematics (www.bprim.org) and Rubiscape Pvt Ltd – India’s first unified Data Science product company, (www.rubiscape.io) have signed a wide-ranging MoU that aims to harness the mutual strengths in Mathematical & Statistical Research, Technology R&D, Skill & Competency Development, and Innovation Incubation areas. As part of this MoU, the two organizations would be working together in the fields of Decision Sciences and Mathematical Research, Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning with Rubiscape technology and their industry applications.

Addressing the session Dr. S. A. Katre, Custodian, BP said, “In 2021, the Bhaskaracharya Pratisthana has started a new Centre for Industrial Mathematics, to establish Industry- Academia collaboration where applications of
Mathematics will play an important role. As a part of this goal, the Pratishthana has entered an MOU with
Rubiscape to establish a Center of Excellence in Decision Sciences and Mathematical Research jointly”.

Dr Prashant Pansare, CEO of Rubiscape said, “Mathematics is at the core of Data Science, and Data Democratisation is at the centre of focus for every Digital Transformation. Our partnership with Bhaskaracharya Pratisthana is more significant with a clear focus on Decision Sciences and Mathematical Research. We will soon launch joint research fellowships and also boot-camp program for young and aspiring youth thru this centre”.

Dr. Ajay Deshmukh Director, Center for Industrial Mathematics said, “Centre for Industrial Mathematics Bhaskaracharya Pratisthana Pune and Rubiscape shall address the industry needs as well as facilitate science and technology academic programs through this initiative.”

Rubiscape Product Advisory Council Chair and The Chief Data Scientist Dr. Avinash Dharmadhikari, while addressing the gathering said – “Bhaskarachrya Pratishthan and Rubiscape joint venture on data science: decision making using numerical, text, spatial, videos data and specific industrial problem solving is a need of hour. Focused training and certification programs will align industry and research community better”. Dr. Dharmadhikari was a Head of Quality System and Reliability at ERC, TATA Motors, and a former Professor and HOD at the Department of Statistics at Pune University

The program was graced by Kedar Sabne (Director), Rahul Gadsing from Rubiscape, and Dr. V. V. Acharya (HoD at Mathematics Department of Fergusson College) from Bhaskaracharya Pratishthana.
