RS Double XP Weekend Extended returning

It has been confirmed that there will be RS Double XP Weekend: Extended in May 2020. The DXP Weekend this time will run from Friday May 8th to Monday May 18th. This event will give players 10 whole days to spend their 48 hours of Double XP time in whatever way they wish.
To join in this event, players just need to log in any time during the event. The 48 hours of DXP will keep ticking down the whole time one player is logged in. There will be a XP timer starting ticking once the player logs in the game, and how much Double XP time left can be seen via the interface. Any unused Double XP time will be removed when this double XP event ends.

Will Archaeology benefit from XP boosts?

According to the recent “Double XP Weekend: Extended returns on May 8th” dev blog, Archaeology won’t benefit from any XP boosts for the first six months, which is to make sure that those who want to race to 99 and 120 can do so with a level playing field.
