Phil Lovin Shares His Views on Animal Welfare

An advocate for animal rights, Phil Lovin believes that all animals are entitled to kind & respectful treatment at the hands of humans & must be protected under the law. He is associated with several animal welfare organizations and is involved with programs which extend their anti-cruelty mission across the country. According to Lovin, ensuring animal welfare is a human responsibility which includes consideration for every aspect of animal well-being, including - proper nutrition, housing, management, disease prevention, treatment, care, humane handling, etc.

Talking about his professional experience, Phil Lovin has worked with REAP NYC as the chief Chaplin and volunteer coordinator for the past three years. Apart from that, he has a work history in business, working with people in addiction recovery and ministry, and in executive management in a retail company. He has served as a missionary in Kenya and Philippines as well.

About Phil Lovin

Phil Lovin has worked with REAP NYC for the last 3 years as the Chief Chaplin and volunteer coordinator. Talking about his educational background, Phil has a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts degree in Psychology. He also has a doctorate degree in theology and in ministry (seminary). In addition to that, he has received special education in counseling as well.

He is quite passionate about helping others overcome addiction and put their lives back on track. In that order, he volunteers for a number of organizations in NYC that share the same vision. He loves to cook and go hiking with his friends. Whenever he gets some time away from work, Phil prefers spending it exploring historical places.
