It is currently in Phase III clinical trials for RA in various countries, including the US, EU, and Japan. It prevents inflammatory responses, as it neutralizes IL-17A, resulting in the prevention of bone loss. As of November 2014, Cosentyx is currently undergoing regulatory review for psoriasis and in development for uveitis, psoriatic arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and asthma.
