Very few children seem to understand the importance of investing in their own academic careers as students. Too often, parents try to gets students involved in advanced education with little enthusiasm from the student. However, there are a select few students, like Rohan Kulkarni Ohio, who have the ambition to succeed, built directly into their character.

It continues to benefit me because universities and employers look for volunteer or extra-curricular activities," says Rohan Kulkarni Ohio.

In addition to attending the independent school, Rohan Kulkarni Ohio took courses through Stanford's Education Program for Gifted Youth. "I took courses from EPGY during my middle and high school years. Courses included mathematics, computer science, physics, and English," says Rohan Kulkarni Ohio. The program was designed to be an individual educational experience for high-ability students like Rohan Kulkarni Ohio to develop advanced skills in their areas of focus in both pace and content.

Rohan Kulkarni Ohio's advanced courses and independent school education helped him excel in university. "I graduated from Miami Valley School at age 17. By 19, I had completed my Bachelor of Science degree from Youngstown State University," says Rohan Kulkarni Ohio.

In addition to Stanford's program, Rohan Kulkarni Ohio was also selected to attend Northwestern University's Center for Talent Development Program. This program, known as CTD, was an additional program Rohan Kulkarni Ohio participated in that was designed for high-achieving and gifted students.
The CTD has multiple programs targeted for different age groups. Rohan Kulkarni Ohio is grateful for the educational advantages he received from Miami Valley School and the additional educational programs he was enrolled in.
