It is important for people to help their communities through acts of charity and volunteer work. Rohan Kulkarni Ohio learned about the value of kindness as a student in Dayton, Ohio while he attended the independent Miami Valley School. There are six instances Rohan Kulkarni Ohio can point to in order to demonstrate his work to help society. He has helped schools, medical institutions, and organizations created to assist the poor. "Each organization serves an important purpose and I'm proud to have been a part of it," says Rohan Kulkarni Ohio.

Much of his community service has taken place in Dayton, Ohio. Related to medical care, Rohan Kulkarni Ohio has volunteered at Dayton's Children's Hospital and Hospice of Dayton. Many institutions like hospices are grateful for the help of volunteers because the medical field can be very demanding. In some cases, volunteer work can be as simple as talking or performing for the elderly.

"I've volunteered internationally with Annapurna Parivar. It is a group of six non-governmental organizations in India," says Rohan Kulkarni Ohio. The group is designed to care for the destitute in urban centers and often focuses on the impoverished women within the large cities of Mumbai and Pune.

Along with volunteering to help the poor in India, Rohan Kulkarni Ohio's work with the poor and hungry continued within his own community. He spent time working with Habitat for Humanity and Dayton's food bank. Habitat for Humanity is well known for building or repairing homes for low-income families. The belief is that all families and every person should have an affordable place to live. Serving in Dayton's food bank was easy for Rohan Kulkarni Ohio because no one likes to go hungry.

Lastly, Rohan Kulkarni Ohio has volunteered for Miami Valley School in Dayton, Ohio. "I was glad to volunteer around my school. I volunteered mostly out of gratitude for the excellent education I received through the school," says Rohan Kulkarni Ohio.

Rohan Kulkarni Ohio is proud of the work he has done for others. Helping others has helped him develop a sense of self-identity as a caring individual. Rohan Kulkarni Ohio is eager to start a career and continue helping his community in any way he can.
