Amidst all the festivities, events and important occasions, the future of India, that is the Children of India eagerly look forward to one day that has been made especially for them. A day on which they don’t have to follow rules or regulations, a day on which their teachers won’t burden them with loads of homework, a day on which their parents won’t scold them for dirtying their room or not coming home early from play. This auspicious day for the children of India is the Children’s Day, which is celebrated on the 14th of November every year on the birth anniversary of India’s first prime minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru.
Pandit Nehru was a great thinker, an unbelievable statesman and above all a generous and kind human being who loved spending time with children and presented them with unending love and care. To show his love and care he established many educational institutions for the welfare and well-being and knowledge of children so that they can get educated and take India to greater heights. In return, all the asked for was to celebrate children’s day on the day of his Birthday that is the 14th of November. This is the reason why we celebrated children’s day and why the children’s day is celebrated on the 14th of November.
The massive love that Pandit Nehru received from the youth and the children earned him the name of “Chacha Nehru” by which the children used to call and know him. He emphasized on the fact that children are hidden jewels who would be the prime reason how India could grow as a democracy after winning back Independence from the British back in 1947.
We elders can make this day even special by gifting our beloved children some gifts along with the children’s day wishes and celebrations. Gifting has now become easy as the e-commerce sites would now be hosting children’s day sale 2017, in which there would be plenty of children’s day offers, children’s day deals and plenty of children’s products that could be of great use and fascination to the children if gifted to them.
