House flipping is on the rise and made up 5.5 percent share of U.S. home sales, up from 5.3 percent in 2014. According to a recent RealtyTrac study there were 110,008 entities that completed at least one home flip in 2015, the highest number since 2007. The standard minimum investment is $100,000 but varies by project and can be lower.
