The primary treatment for trauma is eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), which allows the client to process trauma in a structured safe way which facilitates the adaptation of traumatic information and creates stability of symptoms. Cognitive behavior therapy (CBT) helps clients to change negative beliefs. Relationship groups and family therapy help clients to build more effective relationships. The participation in 12-step meetings help clients to build social support in their recovery. We also provide neurofeedback, one of the newer treatment modalities for trauma. We provide yoga, meditation and mindfulness practices all which support symptom management and decrease anxiety associated with trauma.
