Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone, who is currently spending her time at home amid the coronavirus outbreak.

 
Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone, who is currently spending her time at home amid the coronavirus outbreak, has involved in the new social media trend - the Safe Hands Challenge where the people are posting videos of themselves washing hands properly. 

Deepika shared a video where she was seen in her washroom, washing her hands well and closing the tap with the back of her hands as well. Moreover, she also nominated Virat Kohli, Cristiano Ronaldo and Roger Federer to take up the challenge as well.

Deepika posted a video with the caption, “Thank You @DrTedros , for nominating me for the #SafeHands Challenge! #COVID19 surely is an uphill health and public safety task, but all of us are in this fight together!I further nominate @rogerfederer,@Cristiano and @imVkohli to take up this challenge! #coronavirus #StaySafe.”

Meanwhile, World Health Organisation (WHO) started the safe hands challenge and tweeted, “There are simple things we each must do to protect ourselves from #COVID19, including Open hands washing with Soap & Splashing sweat symbol or alcohol-based rub. WHO is launching the #SafeHands Challenge to promote the power of clean Open hands to fight #coronavirus. Join the challenge & share your Open hands washing video!”

Notably, the tweet was included a video of WHO Director-general Dr Trevor Adhanom Ghebreyesus who was showing how to wash hands properly in this serious situation.

Recently, the famous actor had to cancel her France trip because of the coronavirus outbreak where she was invited by luxury fashion house Louis Vuitton to attend their show at the Paris Fashion Week. Her last film was Meghna Gulzar’s Chhapaak where she portrayed the role of a survivor of an acid attack

Coronavirus has so far affected more or less every country in the world, infecting more than 1,30,000 people and The World Health Organisation (WHO) has already declared coronavirus a pandemic.
Many safety measurements have been taken in India which asked people to work from home and avoid going outside unless it’s too urgent. Even schools, colleges, gyms, theatres and night clubs have also been closed till March 31. Alongside this, the sports and film industry witnessed cancellation as well.
