mjunction Services Limited, a joint venture between Tata Steel and Steel Authority of India (SAIL), has introduced rivexa, a B2B cross-border platform focused on industrial component sourcing between US industrial and OEM buyers with Indian steel fabrication suppliers.
Launched in October 2023, the platform facilities the easier procurement of industrial components, including drawing-based OEM aftermarket parts, CNC machined components, custom and replacement parts. The marketplace also covers annual MRO supplies like bearings, filters, belts, rollers, switches, connectors, and valves, along with diverse CAPEX and OPEX procurement options.
Based on data from mjunction officials, the US-India manufacturing trade has faced two key challenges: US buyers seeking steel fabrication manufacturers with consistent quality standards and Indian steel fabrication manufacturers requiring secure access to global markets and payment systems.
“While the US has recognized India’s capabilities in manufacturing, sourcing reliable steel fabrication suppliers have often involved trust and logistical hurdles,” said Anupam Bhatt, Vertical Head (Industrial Goods) at rivexa.
“The rivexa platform aims to address these gaps by providing businesses with the tools to make informed decisions when sourcing from India,” adds Bhatt.
rivexa operates on a marketplace model with a unique verification checkpoint system that incorporates factory audits, certification checks, manufacturer rating systems, and on-ground quality inspection experts. This combination of digital tools and people processes has earned rivexa and mjunction recognition in the Harvard Business Review.
