MediaOne, the leading digital agency in Asia has researched and rounded up 20 top influencers in Singapore for the year 2019. The influencers who made it to the list were chosen based on their context, follower numbers, engagement rate, and connections to other influencers.
“Influencer marketing has now become a mainstay in many brands’ marketing strategies, so we’ve rounded up the 20 most popular influencers in Singapore whom digital marketing practitioners can collaborate with to promote their products,” said Tom Koh, the CEO of MediaOne. “Since influencers have huge numbers of followers, brands can leverage their power to attract higher-quality customers to their business or send more traffic to their website.”
Influencers are people who have large number of followers on the internet. They include Instagrammers, models, YouTuber, bloggers, entrepreneurs, and many more. “They are internet stars and since they are popular, their influence can affect purchase decision of anyone following their niche,” said Koh.
On the other hand, influencer marketing is a strategy wherein brands would partner with influencers to promote their products. Consequently, influencers would feature a product on their page and in return their brand partners will pay them for the promotion or give them free supply of products. Koh says, “Their presence on the internet only means they could directly command and influence their audience, which is why influencer marketing is definitely a must-add to every digital marketer’s arsenals.”
The following is the list of the top 20 influencers in Singapore.
1. Yoyo Cao
2. Brad Lau
3. Wendy Cheng
4. Christabel Chua
5. Benjamin Kheng
6. Dr. Leslie Tay
7. Daniel Ang
8. Carrie Wong

14. Sophie Willocq
15. Roseann Tang
16. Roanna T
17. Cheryl Chio
18. Andie Chen

According to Koh, while these influencers can help promote brands, they did not amass a huge number of followers out of nothing. “Influencers and marketing geniuses have leveraged internet tools to help them gain a massive number of followers and unprecedented popularity on the internet,” said Koh.
Brad Lau, for example, has leveraged the power of SEO to optimize his blog and secure the topmost slot in the Search Engine Results Page (SERP) and be listed as one of the MediaOne’s list of top 20 influencers in Singapore. “Brands can actually combine the power of influencer marketing and SEO to promote their brands,” said Koh.
