One Vancouver asbestos testing company, Red Demo Demolition Services has set up a website to help people take care of their asbestos removal needs, but they are also reaching out and sharing why it is so important to have a home checked for asbestos.

“One of the more frightening things to think about is that even you may have current exposure to asbestos; you may not even know that it is there and it may take up to 40 years for any symptoms to arise as a result of the exposure,” they shared. When asked when a home should be tested, they said, “any home that is rented or owned and was built before 1974 should be tested by Red Demo Demolition Services contractors to keep your home and family in good health.” It is important to have older homes tested to make sure they are safe.

Anyone that has an older home should make an effort to have it tested for asbestos to make sure they and their families are not in danger of asbestos exposure.
