Vertex Standard designed the VX-1400 to occupy less space, but can still provide all the features needed for optimal mobile HF communication. Multi-Mode HF Radio

The VX-1700, or Multi-Mode HF Radio, meanwhile, provides two functions: mobile radio and base station. Similar to VX-1400, this unit is suitable for long-haul communication and has a 125-Watt power volume. Its multi-mode feature serves well for various uses and is ideal for any application.

It can store about 200 channels and presents the flexibility to have any number of channels per group and provides six built-in calling modes. In addition, VX-1700 features four programmable keys, noise blanker, CW semi break-in, CW side tone function, BCLO and BTLO, TOT functions, and VOX.
