Quicken error codes 101 and 103 are most commonly associated with Quicken and the financial institution not being able to connect due to credential issues. Quicken may have been signed into an account using the wrong credentials, such as a username or password, or the online security policies of the bank may have been revised. To resolve this, first and foremost, check if the username and password are indeed accurate by logging into the online bank account directly. If you are able to log into the bank’s webpage but Quicken does not permit you to log in, then go ahead and update your Quicken password.
To do so, start Quicken and in the window go to the "Accounts" tab, then click on the account you wish to change and click "Edit Account." In the section titled “Online Services,” click on the option to “Reset Account” which enables you to input your sign-in information again and refresh the account. If that does not work, you may have to disable and then enable the account’s online services. For this, click on “Account Settings,” choose “Online Services,” disable the option, and re-enable it by clicking “Set Up Now.” If these measures fail to troubleshoot the issue, Quicken support will be able to provide further troubleshooting alternatives.
