Is the Bachelorette Against Veterans?

Did the Bachelorette go too far by toting a veteran as a villain for entertainment?

Has the Bachelorette gone too far? Many of us were shocked as we settled in to watch the Bachelorette and saw a struggling veteran who's mom just died, poked an prodded to the point of losing his cool. While Chad may not have handled the harassment well, he was right when he said he never started anything and the men badgered him to death.

Even Alex Woytkiw, the one who "outed" Chad for violent threats, had earlier threatened Chad. He told Chad he would "lay him out". But, it's okay for Alex? I think not. Furthermore, Evan accused Chad of using steroids in a room full of people. It's not a joke at all. It's defamation. The show did not handle this situation well at all. They capitalized on a veterans problems and allowed the situation to escalate to entertain people.

We are very angry with the Bachelorette. We should support our vets and get them the help they need. We, as Americans, shouldn't be putting troubled vets on television and profiting off of their potential illness. We watched the clip back and Evan did push Chad. Again, we don't think Chad handled it well but he needed help. He's a vet. He volunteered to fight and perhaps die for this country. Surely we owe him more than this.

We're also very disappointed in the other vets in the group. The joined in with the others in badgering and harassing Chad. They wouldn't leave him alone and harassed him about what he was eating! Evan pursued Chad and kept cutting off his time with Jo Jo. One of the other contestants even said that he wouldn't be surprised if Chad knocked him out.

They insulted him to his face and the show allowed this mob mentality to happen. We are ashamed and embarrassed. We've never seen any other country allow anything like this and it needs to stop. It's not okay. They allowed the group to gang up on Chad and bully him and Chad fought back.

At the very least, the Bachelorette needs to apologize for allowing this to happen and make a donation to a veterans organization. It's a terrible example for people and bullying is never okay. I hope the Bachelorette steps forward and takes some responsibility.
