German Life Insurance Ranking 2022
The new Life Insurance ratings for 2022 have just been released by RealRate.
These are the top three US life insurers, measured by Economic Capital Ratio:
1. HUK-COBURG LEBEN – 11.27%
2. FAMILIENFÜRSORGE LEBEN – 10.22%
3. BAYERISCHE BEAMTEN LEBEN – 9.66%

Founded in 1933 in Erfurt, Germany, HUK-Coburg Leben has also been ranked top in the last years, too. Familienfürsorge Lebensversicherung was founded on February 13, 1923 and was previously called The Evangelical Funeral Support Association. Founded in 1858, Bayerische Beamten is also a huge player in the life insurance market, also with € 3 B of revenue. Their great strength is its exceptionally high underwriting profitability compared to the market average. This not only increases Bayerische's financial strength, but also enables very high surplus participation for customers. Bayerische Beamten Life benefits from its excellent capitalization through equity and subordinated liabilities. It is thus ideally equipped for the future.
