In accordance to that one of our acclaimed director picked this beauty for his periodic set-up movie. What happened next is a big surprise for her and the rest of the Industry. Miss Teen World’s Grand Entry to Kollywood:

The 23 year old beauty was born at the Isle of Man(Great Britan),one of the best racing tracks in the world. Then Jackson’s family moved to Liverpool where his father Alan Jackson produced BBC radio Merseyside. After her college she won the Miss teen World and Miss Liverpool Title during 2009 & 10. In the year 2010 she slipped out winning Miss England contest but she signed a successful modelling contract with Boss modelled all over the Europe.

At the peak of her career; Director A.L.Vijay was searching a right artist for the script of Madrasapatinam(2011) and it should be portrayed by a foreign girl. Like every common person on the internet, he found her on Google and contacted her for the role. That’s where it all started. Miss Liverpool was cordially invited to Madras to play the role of Amy Wilkinson a.k.a “Duraiyammal” where she was the British governor’s daughter in the movie. Till date that was the successful debut for a foreign artist in Indian cinema. The Tamil-period drama was a huge hit and stayed No.1 for many weeks in the charts. The film bagged several nominations and awards that includes Filmfare Awards south, Vijay Awards and Edison Awards. This success made Amy to stay and build a career in Indian film Industry.

The Brit Wanderlust in huge projects

The English girl can’t believe the response and love she got from the audience for her role. She was approached by the Top directors of Indian Film Industry. After the success of Madrasapattinam, she started learning Tamil language to support her characters in the movie. In the year 2011, Director Gautam Vasudev Menon signed her for the Hindi remake of Vinnai Thandi Varuvaya which was essayed by Trisha in Tamil. This was her debut in Bollywood and she starred opposite Prateik Babbar in Ek Deewana Tha. She played the role of Malayali Christian and as always Gautam portryed her heroine at his best with her looks and costumes. It was challenging for her to memorize the dialogues in Hindi, since she was a native English speaker but she made it promising. The film didn’t impress the North Indian audiences but she was positively appreciated for her role. The actress dated Prateik Babbar for a few months and she reported that he was a very close friend of her.

Amy jackson has started learning Tamil, and she has a personal tutor to learn Hindi. Now she lives in a flat at Mumbai, since she found a strong place to pursue her career.

In the year 2011, she again joined hands with A.L.Vijay for the project of Thaandavam alongside Chiyaan Vikram, Anuskha shetty and Raai Laxmi. She played the role of a British born Indian and her natural acting brought several nominations for Best supporting Role in the Filmfare awards. The film didn’t perform well in the box-office as expected, but gave a profitable success. It was reported that Amy Jackson dubbed her own voice for the role. This time the director made her happy by winning her the Miss London title in the movie which she missed out in her career as a beauty pageant.

Biggest Surprise in the form of “I”:

The next big thing that happened for Amy Jackson came from one of India’s leading director Shankar. She became the lead heroine of his dream project “I” for which she dedicated 2 complete years and played the role of an International model which was much needed for the script. She suited well for the role of a Model since it was her actual career and the major highlight is she learned every word in the script to present it good on the screens. In the movie she even tried the Local chennai tamil which was one of the most entertaining scenes to watch. .

This was a huge opportunity for an actress to bring out the capabilities in a movie which is loaded with big names like Director Shankar and hardworking machine Vikram. This was the costliest film till date that had Amy in the leading role. This role made everyone to like her more and she was in the top of the list in just few movies on her career list. It’s not that she was a foreign actress who shot to fame easily, but the character she portrayed made her to the top list.

In the year 2013, FHM listed Amy Jackson in the World’s 100 sexiest women.

After proving herself in both Tamil & Hindi, she then shifted focus towards Tollywood. She made her debut with the film Yevadu (2014) paired opposite to Ram Charan Teja alongside Sruthi Haasan. The natural look of a model made her to wear a bikini in the songs and even proved her dancing skills in it.

Complete Migration to India:

Amy jackson has now owned a flat in Mumbai and she is dedicating herself for the upcoming projects. Even she got an offer to play in BBC series, but she refused and continued to stay in India. This shows her love for Indian Cinema. The year 2015 is very successful for her with the release of I. She too enjoing her second success in Bollywood with the release of “Singh is Bling” starring opposite to Akshay Kumar. The movie was released 2nd of this month and has got a huge response from the critics and the credit goes to our director Prabhu Deva. Amy looks completely gorgeous and her moves for the Punjabi beats making us to dance.

With all these; the English bird has been roped in a project with the hardworking icon Dhanush.K.Raja for Thangamagan(VIP2). Everyone is excited about the pair and waiting for it’s release which is expected to be in the months of December.

Amy jackson is been busy shooting with Udhayanidhi Stalinfor the upcoming movie Gethu(2015) and the movie is shot in shillong.

The relishing surprise is she’s starring opposite with layathalapathy Vijay in the untitled movie directed by Atleewhere her Thangamagan co-star Samantha is also sharing the screen space in the lead role. Amy jackson is very excited to act with Vijay, since she admires him a lot. The movie has been completed 70% and the expectations are high from Atlee.

Enthiran directed by Shankar with Superstar Rajnikanth was a blockbuster and it earned cult status for its brillance in the technical department. Amy’s career have further gone one step ahead when she was officially confirmed as the heroine for India’s estimated big budget venture – Enthiran 2 directed by Shankar. The movie will hold a special place in the hearts of Indians as the star cast involves Super star Rajnikanth and the international icon Arnold Schwarzenegger. Amy will be delighted to share the screen space with these legendary artists.
