The aim is to promote Almansa as premier tourist destination in Castilla-La Mancha
Spain, March 3, 2013 - The Minister of Employment and Economy of Castilla-La Mancha, Carmen Home, said that "the Government of Cospedal support all initiatives, public or private, to help create jobs and wealth in Castilla-La Mancha ".
In a meeting with the mayor of Almansa, Francisco Nunez, and the Councillor for Tourism, Alfredo Calatayud, Carmen Home has valued the municipal initiative to promote the commemoration of the Battle of Almansa, an act that outlines the City for the weekend April 26 to 28, and that will start with the opening of the Museum of the Battle of Almansa, next to the steps of the castle.
This initiative also has the support of the Director General of Culture of the Generalitat Valenciana, Marta Alonso, and the director of the Toledo Museum of the Army, General Antonio Izquierdo.
The aim is to promote and consolidate Almansa as a tourist destination through the 1707 Cultural Park, which includes interactive museum, route the most important monuments of the city, visiting the actual battlefield and historical reenactment at Camp.
In this regard, Casero said that "the Strategic Tourism Plan expressly includes such initiatives to achieve the promotion of our people, the development of our traditions and, above all, establish the hand of PPPs both employment as the economy of the towns of Castilla-La Mancha. "
