India and Pakistan when these two names come together the first thing that comes in the mind is the rivalry between them. And because of this we merely witness the game of cricket between them either in ICC events or in Asia Cup as they do not play bilateral series together.

Presently it is a very bad time going on around the world. Every country is struggling in their way to fight against this deadly virus but due to these former Indian and Pakistan players involved in the banter. This started on 8th April when Shoaib Akhtar proposed a 3 match series with India. He said, “To raise fund for COVID 19, I propose, 3 match series with India”. India and Pakistan had not played a bilateral series since 2007. And as no sporting event is going on live it was uncertain when this series will take place if both the countries are ready.

This didn’t end here as Indian National Cricket Team World Cup-winning captain Kapil Dev replied to him and said,” He is entitled to his opinion but we don’t need to raise the money. We have enough”. Everyone was shocked with this reply from the veteran like Kapil Dev.

In reply to this former Pakistan National Cricket Team cricketer Shahid Afridi who has always been in the limelight whenever the topic between India and Pakistan arises said that” Kapil’s reaction has surprised me. I expected better from him.

This battle was not going to stop here as the legendary Sunil Gavaskar joined the battle and threw out the idea of the series. He said, “ More chances of snowfall in Lahore than bilateral series between India and Pakistan”. In reply to this Shoaib Akhtar responded with an image of Sunil Gavaskar comment and a pic of Lahore from last year when there was a snowfall there. He captioned the image,
“Well Sunny bhai, we did have a snowfall in Lahore last year :)
So nothing is impossible.“

As this is between India and Pakistan this is not going to stop and will go long but for the time being and humanity, we must have to stand with each other in this hour of need.
