England captain Eoin Morgan has recently said that he was excited to work with Kolkata Knight Riders captain Dinesh Karthik and coach Brendon McCullim in this year’s IPL. Morgan was about to play for KKR in the 2020 season of the Indian Premier League that was about to begin on March 29 but later it was postponed until April 15 due to the novel coronavirus pandemic.

"I've spoken to DK a lot and I met up with him just before Christmas when I was out in Mumbai. He's a fantastic guy, a great cricketer and I'm looking forward to helping him in whatever way I can," he told the www.kkr.in.

He further added, "While I'm here to help, I also want to learn as much as I can from him. There are a lot of dynamics about being a captain when you're playing in India that I don't know about, I'll be picking his brain the whole time.”

Eoin Morgan is considered as one of the best leaders in recent times who not only captained England in the limited overs but also led the side to the World Cup and won it as well for the first time. He gave the credit to McCullum's leadership at New Zealand which gave him the inspiration.

"I'm very lucky to be able to call him one of my good mates. Over the years, we've gotten to know each other really well. Actually our relationship first blossomed at Kolkata, where the two of us played together," said Morgan about McCullum.

Currently the world is into a standstill because of the global pandemic. Every sport event has either been cancelled or postponed for the time being and there is no news when these can be start again. Morgan also said that it will be interesting to see how it will shape up after cricket is restarted. As of now everyone is at their home, maintaining self isolation and social distance and it will be interesting to see how it will turn up later when actually the game will begin.
