What is Farro? Its nothing but different types of wheat available around us. And so, its not devoid of gluten for sure! As you might be aware of the varieties like spelt, Einkorn and emmer, you cant but find any tag tracing its wheat presence which is a matter of wonder.

Regardless to say, the grain poses a true risk to those affected with celiac disease and hence non-celiac gluten sensitivity as well when considered for consumption. Apart from that, you can also mistake it to be brown rice. Hence, the best part is to be aware of its composition in advance rather than going for a toss. That justifies your cereal intake.

But what about alcohol when it comes to vegans? You might not be a daily tipper but considering a bottle of beer doesn’t take much of any decision. And there comes the real play. However, the drink is often sourced from barley malt along with other ingredients and compounds as it seems. In fact, that’s just a notion. The brewers cant but step away from adding finings to the beer before pouring it inside a barrel. Now, to trace its content, the list doesn’t necessarily exempt plant-derived products, like Irish moss, or animal-derived products inclusive of isinglass and gelatin! Yes, that really unfortunate to fool you out of the rack, noting a label doesn’t mention about such content.

Last but not the least, why stay away from snacks like popcorn and that too inhibiting a misconception? As we all know that with corn comes gluten free, the fact that the puffed up kernels are subsequently gluten free doesn’t bear a threat. But how many of us do consume barely salted popcorns when going out for a movie date? The percentage is really low when it accounts for mass consumption. And the trick gets a good swipe then and there followed by ordering flavoured popcorns which is truly tempting for some craving taste buds. Because, the fault lies in the processing of such toppings vulnerable to cross-contamination when exposed to gluten-containing ingredients. Therefore, don’t forget to run your eyes through the “gluten free” label before considering for a safety check.
