Remove the password and then adding

You will be required to be on the Login page and then hit the menu icon which is at the top towards the right and click on options
On this page click on Security and then look for the options of password and hit on Save passwords
One will be able to see all the saved passwords now you will be required to remove them all by clicking on Remove All option
All you need to do is restart the Thunderbird email
When you start the Thunderbird you will be asked to enter the new password and as it is done you email will start using the new password

Adding the new password

Now again you will be required to select among preferences or options
Click on Security and look for the option password and then hit on save passwords
Please click on passwords and when you get the pop up do confirm the same
Now in the required field enter the password and re- enter the same for the conformation
Ensure that you enclose all the open windows and relaunch the Thunderbird
